Players seem to continuously be popping up in the state of Texas and one name that has recently emerged is that of Fort Worth Everman wide receiver Jonathan Jones. Over the course of the last month Jones has racked up an impressive list of offers.

"I have offers from Arkansas, TCU, Wyoming, Washington State, Colorado, Missouri, Kansas, Louisiana-Monroe, Baylor, Nebraska and Texas A&M," Jones said. "Texas is talking about offering me. I went to their camp last week and they talked to me a lot. Their wide receivers coach said he was going to talk to coach Brown about offering me. He said that he thought they could use me as a true freshman."

The 6-foot-4, 190-pound Jones runs the 40-yard dash in 4.65 seconds and was named second team all-district as a junior.

"Right now my top schools would be TCU, Florida, Texas, Texas Tech, Nebraska, Arkansas and Texas A&M, "Jones said. "Most schools are recruiting me as a wide receiver, except Baylor offered me as a safety and wide receiver and they also offered me in track."

As a junior Jones racked up 54 tackles, four interceptions and recovered one fumble. Offensively he caught eight passes for 88 yards and one touchdown in an offense that had several seniors last season.

"I would like to wait a while before I start trying to make any decisions or anything like that," Jones said. "If the right offer came along I guess I could go ahead and commit, but right now I am just pretty much taking things slow."
