Series: Texas A&M leads Louisiana-Lafayette 4-1. A&M won the last meeting, 31-7 in 2002. The Aggies have outscored the Ragin' Cajuns 97-7 in their last two victories.

Dennis Franchione on Louisiana-Lafayette: "I think offensively they run the ball very well. They've got a nice scheme. They run a lot of zone option, they read it pretty well. They have a big offensive line. I like their team speed. I think they all can motor pretty good. Secondary has pretty good speed. Their entire defense has pretty good speed. They are a pretty salty offensive team. This will be a good test for our defense. They are somewhat like us in some regards yet we have our differences as far as offensive styles. That probably helps them a little bit in preparing for us and probably helps us a little bit in preparing for them I hope. These guys won a lot of games at the end of last year, they won their conference and they've got a little swagger to them. I know LSU got on them pretty good early and got a key interception the other night that got them behind the eight ball a little bit but I'm sure they'll be ready to play and I know they'll be a step up from last week."

A&M senior receiver Chad Schroeder on returning from last year's leg injury: "I knew I was going to be sore on Sunday, but just to have that experience, just to wake up on Sunday after a game day after a win," he said. "There's just something about the experience and being a part of it."

ULL's offensive coordinator, Rob Christophel, on A&M's defense: ""They are just tremendously big inside. They're big, physical guys, and it looks like they're going to have more people around the line of scrimmage than we faced last week."

Texas A&M Notes: Junior linebacker Mark Dodge will be the subject of one of the featured stories on ESPN College GameDay's tribute to the five-year anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. This edition of College GameDay can be seen Saturday, September 9 at 9:00 a.m. (central) on ESPN.

ULL Notes: The Cajuns are staying at the Del Lago Resort in Conroe. They will have a stretching and walk-through session Friday and Saturday morning before leaving for College Station in the afternoon.
