Aggies Rock Jayhawks

Someone forgot to tell the Texas A&M Aggies that coming into Saturday night's game, the Big 12 South was a collective 0-31 in Lawrence, KS. A huge bucket by Acie Law nullified that statistic, as Billy Gillispie's team notched their first-ever Big 12 win against Kansas, beating the Jayhawks 69-66 at Allen Fieldhouse on upset Saturday.

Law hit 23 points, including the game-winning three-pointer, helping No. 10 Texas A&M (17-4 overall, 7-2 Big 12) to soul first place position in the Big 12 over No. 6 Kansas.

The Jayhawks (19-4 overall, 6-2 Big 12) led most of the contest; but Law carried the Aggies on a late 12-2 run, tying the game at 64 points with only one minute remaining in the game.

Law's supporting cast stepped up as well, with Josh Carter notching 11 points, and Joseph Jones and Dominique Kirk each collecting 10.

The schedule does not get any easier for the Aggies, when No. 22 Texas limps into College Station on Monday. The Longhorns are looking to bounce back from a 72-73 loss to Kansas State. The game will be televised at 8 p.m. nationally on ESPN.
