Websider Fearless Predictions

Aggie Websider's Dallas Shipp, David Sandhop and Chip Winfrey chime in on this week's game against Oklahoma State. Will the Aggies cover the spread? Will the Cowboys pull off the upset? Here's our guess.

Dallas Shipp (BigD03)
This will be an entertaining game for the most part, but I think the Cowboys will be exhausted in the fourth quarter up front and Jorvorskie Lane will put the nail in the coffin. It will be tough for both defenses this week--neither of which have shown much through the first five weeks of the year. The Aggies have the edge on special teams and they have the ability to grind the clock (and the opposing defense) in games like this. The Aggies will be in first place on Sunday morning.

David Sandhop (Hop)
Wow, this will be an entertaining game. It's also a tough game to pick. OSU has a potent offensive attack with the running of Savage and Hunter, and the passing of Robinson to all-American Bowman. A&M wlll not stop OSU. Then again, I don't see how OSU stops A&M's offense. The game will be decided by turnovers and special teams mistakes. On paper, this game looks pretty even. However, A&M has OSU's number and the game is in the friendly confines of Kyle Field.

Chip Winfrey (AgE2theBONE)
Despite having some talent on the offensive side of the ball, their offense is not as good as it was last season, and their defense has really nosedived. Another key ingredient: Darnell is in his second season defending this slate of Big XII opponents now, and that will translate to even better defensive efforts than we saw in conference play last season. Throw in the fact that OSU can't play on the road, already getting stomped by Troy State this year, and their best quarterback is riding the bench, there's just no getting around the conclusion that A&M wins this game. Therefore, I predict the Aggies roll into Lubbock in sole possession of first place in the Big 12 South.
