A&M Director of Athletics Bill Byrne was not happy at this morning's press conference that was held to release the results of the university's internal investigation into the VIP Connection emails that were sent out over the past three years by Dennis Franchione's personal assistant, Mike McKenzie.

"It has taken us a long time to gather all this information because there's a great deal of it," Byrne said. "We tried to gather all that we can, but there's still some out there that we know of. I want to apologize, because Aggies are embarrassed right now. This has been an unfortunate incident that we do not want to experience again."

Coachfran.com, the website that was run by McKenzie has been discontinued, and McKenzie has been relieved of his duties as an employee of the Texas A&M athletic department.

Byrne would not comment on Franchione's future at Texas A&M, saying that this matter would be included in his performance evaluation at the end of the year, but Franchione did receive a letter of admonishment from the university.
