Bennett discussess NFL draft

He hasn't attended the Tuesday media luncheon since prior to the Aggies' game against LA-Monroe, but he was back this week and better than ever. Bennett visits with the media about his plans for his senior year and what it would take for him to jump into the NFL draft this spring. Aggie Websider was there with the latest from Bennett, which is always entertaining.

Martellus Bennett said on Tuesday that if he is projected to be selected in the first or second round of the NFL draft, he would probably skip his senior season at Texas A&M.

"If the opportunity is there, you've got to do what you've got to do," Bennett said. "You have to get out while you're hot and I've got to do what's best for my family. It will be between me and my family and I'll probably go to Coach Fran as well."

Bennett has been ranked as the No. 1 tight end in the upcoming NFL draft by several online services, which doesn't bode well for Aggie fans.
