Auburn coach Tommy Tuberville's name has repeatedly survaced as the favorite to take over the reigns of the Texas A&M football program by several media outlets over the past few weeks. But multiple A&M officials have told Aggie Websider that Tuberville is not among the candidates for the position at this time.
Tuberville was an assistant coach at Texas A&M under R.C. Slocum, which may be one reason that his name is mentioned for the job opening once the season comes to a close. But whether it's a result of his large buyout or a lack of interest, it does not appear that he'll be heading back to A&M anytime soon.
Aggie Websider will continue to bring you the latest information on the Texas A&M coaching search as it happens.
