As the Aggie Websider's David Sandhop alluded to earlier this morning on its Northgate premium board, A&M's new defensive back commit is Terrence Frederick (5-11, 170, 4.45) from Katy. Frederick received an offer from Texas A&M this weekend, decommitted from Louisville and committed to the Aggies.

Frederick is a teammate of Aggie defensive back commit Trent Hunter and runnning back prospect Aundre Dean.

Hunter, Frederick, and Dean helped lead Katy to an undefeated season and Class 5A state championship.

Frederick came on very strong his senior season, earning 1st team All-District honors after snagging 8 interceptions and recording 55 tackles.

Texas Prep Insider Managing Editor Alan Zepeda watched Frederick several times this season and says Frederick is a head hunter, very physical and definitely a quality pick-up for the Aggies.

When asked why few had heard of Frederick. Zepeda went on to say that most prospects from Katy don't get a lot of recruiting attention because the system is so stacked that many players don't get on the field until their senior season.

Many programs took notice of Frederick when reviewing film of teammates Trent Hunter and Aundre Dean.
