Mason-Griffin interested in the Aggies?

One of the top point guards in the state of Texas in the Class of 2009 had been off the table for almost a year. Houston Madison blue chip Tommy Mason-Griffin verbally pledged to LSU coach John Brady in September of 2006. When Brady recently left Baton Rouge, Mason-Griffin decided to open up his recruitment again. Are the Aggies one of his new teams on his list?

Four-star point guard Tommy Mason-Griffin is back on the market for a basketball program after de-commiting from LSU following the departure of long-time coach John Brady. The 5-foot-9, 185-pound guard was recently playing for Houston Hoops in the Cactus Classic and led Houston Hoops to the tournament championship while receiving excellent reviews from experts in attendance.

At the tournament, Mason-Griffin also announced his new short list of schools to Scout.com national basketball analyst Dave Telep. Good news for Aggie fans. That list includes Texas. Arizona, Memphis, Oklahoma, Baylor, LSU, and Texas A&M.

Telep filed this report from Tucson.
