The game was close most of the first half, with A&M and Iowa State tied at 35 with 2:32 left in the half.

The Aggies went on a 9-2 run to open up 7-point halftime lead, 44-37.

The Aggies used a 14-4 run in the opening minutes of the second half to stretch the lead to seventeen, 58-41. .

Texas A&M made five 3-pointers in the next six minutes, including one by Carter at the 8:43 mark, to push the Aggie lead to 73-46.

From there, the Aggie cruised to an easy 87-69 win over Iowa State, with fifteen players seeing action for the Aggies.

Chinemelu Elonu came off the bench to score 16 points and pull down 10 rebounds for the Aggies.

Iowa State (14-15, 3-11), which suffered its15th consecutive Big 12 road loss, was led by Craig Brackins with 20 points.

Texas A&M now travels to Boulder for a critical game with Colorado on Wednesday night..
