James Haynes is currently one of the hottest commodities on the recruiting market. Haynes is being recruited by some of the elite programs in the country and has finally narrowed his list down to 3 schools.
"In no specific order I like Florida, A&M, and Oklahoma."
James wants to end the recruiting process before the start of his senior year and he wants to play for a school with tradition, winning mentality, electric atmosphere, and good academics.
" I don't want to come in and be the best at my position. I want to come in and learn from the guys ahead of me and then take their spot from them."
Haynes is an excellent student and wants to major in Sport Medicine with aspirations of being an orthopedic surgeon.
"Academics are very important to me and I want to attend a school that will allow me to pursue my career goals."
Haynes wants to take visits to his top 3 schools before the end of the summer, but that might not be feasible.
"I want to make it out to Florida but that's a long way from home and gas prices are high."
Haynes feels good about the job Texas A&M head coach Mike Sherman is doing recruiting, and Haynes has established a good relationship with position coach, Jim Turner.
"I really like what Mike Sherman is doing at A&M. I believe he is going to make a big turn around there. Coach Turner talked to me about the intensity they are going to bring to the field and I got excited hearing about it."
Haynes plans on attending the A&M camp in July.
Decision close for Haynes?
