When Aldine (TX) running back Dontae Williams left Texas A&M's one day camp for Juniors and Seniors yesterday, few players had impressed as much with their physique, size, speed and skill quite like he did. Before fiercely competing with the runningback group and in the 1 on 1's against the linebackers, Williams was testing with the other athletes, running a 40 yard dash time of 4.49, and achieving a 36 inch vertical leap.

A&M coaches took notice, and after receiving his call on Monday morning, offered the senior running back. The offer puts A&M not only in good position for his services, but for a commitment as well, although Williams has no exact timetable for deciding on a school. "Whenever I feel I've found a place for me, that's when I'll commit. That could be tomorrow, next week, during the season, I don't know."

Williams is not done summer camping just yet. He will attend another camp to compete for an offer, possibly joining their commit list, or committing to the Aggies soon after. "I'll be at LSU this Sunday for their camp, and I'll be at a camp in Florida, the Gridiron Kings Elite 8, later this month. It's not associated with the University of Florida but it's by invitation and the top few players at every position in the country will be there. I'm excited."

The rest of the summer is a work-filled one for Williams, "Workouts are great. I workout Monday through Thursday and I run all day Sunday. My bench is 365 and I squat 600. I'm also weighing 207 pounds."

Look for more on Williams to surface very soon, and a very high ranking to be given.
