Saunders wants to visit Aggieland

Aggie Websider's Taylor Hamm caught up with Tommie Saunders and Nate Askew last night and discussed Tommie's recruiting status. Saunders now has the Aggies as one of his top schools and is planning a visit to Aggieland soon. Read about it in the tailgate.

San Antonio Madison High School has been a hot spot for talent in 2009 and Texas A&M has taken notice. The Aggies landed 3 star wide-out Nate Askew in June and The Aggies are looking to possibly land his teammate and heralded 4 star saftey Tommie Saunders.

"Nate is my best friend. Actually his mom keeps telling my mom about how great A&M is. I have always been a fan of A&M and I plan on visiting soon."

Nate and Tommie share a bond and would want nothing more to play with each other on Saturdays.

Askew said, "I keep telling him he needs to get down to College Station. Tommie is aware of all the talent we have coming in and I want him to be along side me on Saturdays."

"I am bringing Tommie up with me on August 16th for a scrimmage", said Askew

Tommie is excited about meeting Coach Sherman

"I spoke to Coach Sherman a few days ago. He wants me to come in and talk to him. They are trying to figure out if they want me at linebacker or safety. I am ok with either position but its all kind of confusing right now."

Saunders likes his chance to play with his best friend Nate Askew.

"If the coaches can work out where they want me when I come up on the 16th, I could see myself committing to Texas A&M."
