Nate Askew can't wait to be an Aggie and this weekend is an exciting time for the 6-3 215 pound wide receiver out of San Antonio Madison, because it will be his first game at Kyle Field. "I can't tell you how amped up I am about this weekend. Im ready to see what Kyle Field is all about.", said Askew. Nate will be traveling with his cousin and another Madison teammate.

Nate caught 3 passes for 47 yards and returned a 53-yard punt for at touchdown in a little over a half of work in a blowout victory his first week of action. "The coaches kept putting me back to far on the punt returns so the next one I stepped up about 10 yards. The kick was short and I thought to myself, im about to house this one. I stiffed armed the first defender and the wall opened up a pretty big hole and I was gone", Askew said about his return for a TD.

Nate has been doing some recruiting of his own for the Aggies , convincing Aaron Green, who may end up being the nation's No. 1-ranked tailback in 2011, to come to a game with Askew sometime this year. "Yea I talked to Aaron after practice today (Wednesday), he is doing something with his family this weekend but he said he going to come down with me when the Aggies play Oklahoma State or Texas."

Askew will arrive a couple of hours before gametime on Saturday which will give him plenty of time to take in the gameday atmosphere.
