Taylor Doyle (Lake Travis High School) is quickly becoming one of the state's best offensive lineman. The 6 foot 5 inch, 270 pound left tackle has been getting a lot of attention from Texas schools.
" Ive been hearing a lot from Texas, (Texas) Tech, A&M, and TCU."
Doyle has always had a little burnt orange in his blood growing up in the Austin area but isn't ruling out the Maroon and White.
"Being from Austin I grew up a huge Longhorn fan. Ive been going to games since I was a kid. Greg Davis has been recruiting me and we have a pretty good relationship. I like A&M a lot, I wasn't really interested early but its hard to overlook how good of a school it is. Plus it would be hard to pass up the opportunity to play for a legendary coach like Mike Sherman."
The Lake Travis lineman only holds an offer from Tulsa but he expects to get more offers in the future.
"Tulsa is my only offer at the moment, but with all the attention ive been getting I expect to see more in the future. I want to go to a school with a family like atmosphere and playing time is a big factor. The coaching staff is a big deal and the whole environment on campus. I want to go to a big school."
Doyle considers himself a true left tackle and feels most comfortable at that position.
"I can play right tackle but I would rather be on the left side of the line."
Taylor feels he has room for improvement.
"My feet are my biggest strength. I have really quick feet but I need to work on my technique."
Taylor Doyle has Texas A&M and Kyle Field on his list of schools to visit.
"I will defiantly be going to a game at A&M this year."
