Toney Hurd has been a prime target for the Aggies in 2010, and the Ags are still in the running for his services. This weekend Hurd plans on making his first official visit to a highly touted program out of state.

"This weekend I am visiting Notre Dame."

When asked about a top 5 this is what Hurd had to say.

"Right now I am waiting on two schools. I want to see if Virginia Tech or Florida State need me at cornerback. Once I hear if they need me or not, I will announce my top 5."

A good sign for the Aggies would be the fact that Hurd only mentioned Texas A&M as the lone major Texas school still recruiting him hard.

"Texas A&M is recruiting me real hard. They are a pretty good program and close to home. I like the coaching staff a lot and I think Mike Sherman is doing a good job of rebuilding but I don't want to choose a school just because its close to home. They are definitely in the mix though."

Hurd had this to say about visiting College Station this fall.

"I don't have any plans to take a official visit to A&M until maybe after my senior season. I have been on campus plenty of times so I don't need to take an official there. I will probably make it up to a game this fall."

Hurd has stayed in contact with the Aggies sending emails to the A&M coaching staff that he is still interested in playing there. It seems that Hurd is getting very close to narrowing it down to 5 and the Aggies are in a very good position to make the cut.
