Bradley Marquez (Odessa) was one of a handful of 2011 recruits to receive an offer to play football at Texas A&M after September 1st. The 5'11" 180 lb running back has led his team to a 3-0 record in district and will meet cross town rival Odessa Permian in front of 25,000 fans tomorrow night.

"I'm really excited to play Permian in front of that many fans. I just want to do what I can for the team to the best of my abilities and get a W. We are favored to win and I expect to have a break out game."

Recently Marquez has gained interest from the likes of Oklahoma, Texas Tech, Texas, LSU and Nebraska with offers from A&M, OU, and Tech.

"I like anyone that has interest in me. Right now if I had to favor one school, it would be OU. The coaches told me that I remind them of Demarco Murray and how they intend to use me in their system. OU is a great place and it is not too far away from home."

Marquez has 6 touchdowns through 4 games with a 79-yard run from scrimmage as his longest TD of the year. His coaches have been working on his ability to pound the ball in between the tackles and they even looked at him in the slot position. Bradley is a versatile back and will receive a lot of attention from some of the top schools in the country due to the fact he plays for one of the best high school programs in the state of Texas.

The Texas A&M coaching staff has been watching film on Marquez and they really feel like he could be an asset in the back field and out wide. Even though Bradley grew up as a Longhorn fan, he is not ruling out the Aggies as a possible candidate.

"Coach Kirk Doll was out at my practice a couple weeks ago and that meant a lot to me. When a school shows interest in you like that, you can't help but notice their presence. I like what Coach Sherman is doing with the Aggies and I think he has them going in the right direction. I've got a few friends and family that went to A&M and they tell me how amazing Kyle Field is—I want to check out a game there soon."

Bradley wants to major in Business and looking for a school with good academics, campus and game time atmospheres, and where he can come in and play as a freshman. Marquez has plans to take a visit to Texas Tech the weekend they play Kansas State and wants to make it up to Norman by the end of the season.
