Kolby Griffin of St. Pius high school continued to show his interest in A&M when he took his second visit to Aggieland this weekend. Griffin will be a prime target for the Aggies in 2011 because of his playmaking abilities in the secondary. Kolby loves the atmosphere Kyle Field and he is becoming very familiar with the A&M coaching staff.

"This is my second visit to A&M; I also made it to the New Mexico game. It was a great game, I liked the way they looked-they looked real good. I love coming to Kyle Field. The coaches are amazing; I had a good talk with Coach McMillian and Coach Van Malone. I think me and those guys have a pretty good relationship."

Griffin has put together film for the A&M coaching staff, and he was told by both McMillian and Malone that they were very impressed with his sophomore film. According the Griffin, the coaches are going to evaluate his film and decide from there.

"I like the stadium, the atmosphere, the players, the coaches, and the fact that they play so many young guys. The coaches said they are going to look over the highlight film I am putting to together this week and get back to me. I hope they offer me because I think in one or two years they are going to be competing for conference and national championships. "

Kolby has been sidelined the past four weeks with a high ankle sprain, but he has been cleared to practice and will be back on the field against Bellaire on Friday.

"Right now we are 7-2 but I have only played in four games because of my ankle injury. I'll be back this weekend starting on defense. I had 3 interceptions today in practice so I feel like I'm ready to get back out there. Bellaire is a warm-up game for us before the playoffs. "

The 6 foot, 180 pound corner has one offer on the table at the moment, and that is from Baylor. Griffin has been receiving letters from the likes of Texas, OU, LSU, Stanford, ISU, Iowa, and many more elite programs. At the moment he puts the Bears and Aggies at the top of his list of favorite schools.

"My favorite visit was probably Baylor. They were the first to offer me and I have a very good relationship with all of the coaches. Right now it would have to be Baylor and A&M at the top of my list. It's still early in my recruiting process but I feel very comfortable at both schools."
