2011 offeree, Jalen Brown, made his first visit to a college campus with his mother and cousin on Sunday and were completely blown away by the first-class treatment they received from the A&M staff. The Irving MacArthur defensive back had no idea what to expect from the unofficial visit but needless to say his expectations were exceeded.

"The visit went very well. I like the campus and I like the field. Kyle Field is one of the best stadiums in college for a reason and I got to see that first hand on Sunday. Me, my mom, and my cousin were treated like family as soon as we stepped on campus," said Brown. "My mom really liked it. She didn't think it was going to be an experience like that. We had never visited a college before but we were very impressed."

Before Jalen and his family members hit the field to watch the Aggies practice, they had the opportunity to meet with strength and conditioning Coach Dave Kennedy and the team nutritionist.

"Their strength and conditioning coach was a nice guy. We got to talk a lot before practice started. I like what he said about their conditioning; they get their athletes ready to play. Talking with nutritionist, she showed me how the body works and what is safe to eat. I liked that a lot because not all schools have a personal nutritionist for the team. Good health and nutrition is very important to me."

Jalen also had the unique opportunity to view a team meeting before the scrimmage started.

"I got to sit in on the team meetings and tour the locker room. It was cool watching them break down film. I got to see what calls they used for coverages and I liked how the coaches made sure everyone knew their assignments."

During the scrimmage, Jalen was approached by a handful of A&M coaches and players.

"I talked to Coach MacMillian, Coach Sherman, and Coach DeRuyter. When I talked to Coach MacMillian he was telling me how they could use me in their system next year. I like Coach Mac a lot. I finally got to talk with Coach Nguyen in person for the first time. He is a great person and I know he is one of the most popular players to come from A&M so it was an honor to speak with him. I also talked to Jerrod a little bit and Colton Valencia for a while."

So where does A&M stand with the 6-foot-1, 180-pound defender after his visit?

"A&M is definitely at the top of my list after this weekend. I think College Station fits me pretty good. I like how the town was setup. It was a good visit and I had a good time there. I would love to make it down again sometime in the spring. Maybe their spring game next month."

Jalen still wants to visit other big-time programs before he makes his decision.

"I also want to go see Nebraska. I heard they have a nice campus. Notre Dame, I would like to see their campus. UT and maybe OU."
