2012 Brenham Linebacker An Early Target

The Aggies got their first look at Brenham (TX) linebacker Timothy Cole this spring when he visited a spring practice with his stud teammate Malcolm Brown. The 6-foot-1, 190 pound sophomore is an early 2012 offeree by Coach Sherman's staff who grew up going to games at Kyle Field. This week, Cole picked up his first verbal offer from Coach Kragthorpe.

"I was very excited," said Cole about his first offer from Texas A&M. "I always wanted to go to Texas A&M so I was glad they finally offered me."

"I can see myself playing at Texas A&M. Coach Kragthorpe is a real down to earth guy who I can talk to whenever I need him."

Timothy's teammate Malcolm Brown might be one of the top defensive tackles in the state in 2012. Brown is 6-foot-1, 270 pounds and already holds verbal offers from A&M, UT, and OU. The two are very close and recently they discussed playing together at the next level.

"We talk about it a lot," said Cole when asked if him and Malcolm Brown talk about playing together at the next level. "In fact, we talked about it this Monday. A&M and UT are the two school's we talk about the most. I could see it coming down to those two colleges."

Cole plans on playing the recruiting process out.

"I won't be making a decision anytime soon," said Cole. "Most likely after my junior year."

Cole earned first-team All-district honors at inside linebacker as a sophomore in 2009. He is also garnering attention from the Longhorns and Baylor Bears. The Brenham Cubs are not holding spring ball but Cole and Brown have their sights on a few camps this summer.

"We will probably go to a few camps this summer," said Cole. "We want to get up to College Station for their camp in July and probably UT's camp."
