Week 2 Game Balls

UTSA fought hard as a team on Saturday but two players stood above the rest and earn our Week 2 Game Balls.

Our InsideRunnerSports staff hands out our game balls for exceptional performances on Saturday.

Defense: Cornerback Andre Brown

Cornerback Andre Brown got the start on Saturday. It was the first time in his career at UTSA he's started.

"It felt pretty good," said Brown "This is what I went to junior college for to get this chance. It's a blessing. I thanked the coaches for giving me that chance to see those snaps. I'm going to keep working."

Brown made the most of this day recording six tackles and breaking up two passes.

"That's what we practice for, we just have to capitalize," said Brown. "There were a few plays where I felt like I could have played a little bit better though."

Offense: Wide Receiver Kenny Bias

Wide Receiver Kenny Bias had his best game as a Roadrunner on Saturday. Bias found the endzone three times: twice through the air and once on the ground.

"It really is a blessing because my first game in the Alamodome last year, I didn't have a good game. Coming in, I just had to believe in myself and in my team," said Bias.

Bias caught three passes for 96 yards and rushed twice for 24 yards for a total of 120 all purpose yards on the game.

"We could see how they would press up which to me is a little disrespectful for my speed," said Bias. "The O-line held up and Soza got me the ball. It's that simple; team effort."
