Eyeing This Cen-Tex OL

Come the fall, the Offensive Line will have four senior starters. There's already one 2015 commit, with 2 other offers out there and more to come. Keep your eye on this Waco High School prospect.

One of many recruits on hand at the spring game was Joseph Gonzales of Waco High School. The 6'4" 285lb offensive lineman was able to make the drive down I-35 and take in the action.

"I really liked it. I like the fast paced offense. I had a lot of fun. It's a really good atmosphere and the fans were pretty awesome," said Gonzales.

His trek to the Dome was his first time seeing UTSA in action. Cornerbacks Coach Jeff Popovich has been staying in contact and invited him to the spring game.

Gonzales is still patiently waiting for his first offer, but along with UTSA, UT, Baylor, and Navy, are just some of the programs who have either been in contact or shown interest this spring.

Joseph currently lines up at right tackle for the Lions and earned 1st Team All District and honorable mention All State last year for his play on the field.

"I feel comfortable at tackle. I play good against speed rushers, only time will tell where I end up on the O-line," said Gonzales.

Now that it's been a few days since the spring game, Joseph, still remained very intrigued by the 'Runners.

"What really stood out is there the first school that really showed interest in me. I really liked Coach Coker too. I really felt comfortable there."
