Keys To Victory (UNM)

UTSA hosts New Mexico on Saturday. Here are your IRS Keys To Victory.

UTSA Football Keys To Victory vs New Mexico

1. Run The Ball

UTSA amassed 140 yards rushing on 40 carries vs FAU. That's an average of 3.5 yards per rush. While that isn't great production, it's still much better than what we saw in the games vs Arizona and Oklahoma State. UTSA must establish the running game in order to be successful.

2. Time of Possession

New Mexico's methodical offensive pace could become an issue in this game, especially as the game wears on. Look for the Lobos to try to control the time of possession in the game. But UTSA cannot let the big time of possession disparity become too large.

3. Big Plays

Simply stated, the Hard Hat Defense gave up too many big plays last week vs FAU. The 'Runners will need to limit these type of game-changing plays in order to beat New Mexico.
