Practice Report 11.26.14

UTSA held their second to last practice of the 2014 season on Wednesday Morning. InsideRunnerSports provides you a practice report.

- Wednesday morning's practice was one of the last practices UTSA Football will hold this season. UTSA will hold their very last practice on Thursday and have a walk-through on Friday before playing the season finale on Saturday.

- UTSA practiced a little longer than normal, almost 45 minutes longer. There was a ton of energy on the field despite weather conditions being cool and breezy.

- Head Coach Larry Coker said it's been a very emotional week trying to balance saying goodbye to so many seniors and still preparing for a football game. Despite all of the emotions, Coker says the team has worked hard this week to prepare for North Texas. - Safety Michael Egwuagu will be suspended for the first half of the Saturday's game. According to Coach Coker, Conference USA reviewed Egwuagu's second half targeting penalty vs WKU and upheld it. Earlier in the week, Coker liked the chances of the penalty being overturned since there was no helmet to helmet contact. However, according to a spokesman, the rule book states that the helmet to helmet contact does not negate the targeting penalty.

- Place Kicker Sean Ianno is day to day, according to Coach Coker. It is thought that Ianno will be able to return for the season finale.

- Coach Coker also noted that RB Jarveon Williams is healthy and available for this week's game saying that the back practice well today and all this week.

- Defensive Coordinator Neal Neathery spoke about the emotions of the week saying is healthy and available for this week's game saying that the back practice well today and all this week.
