UTSA rallied for a come from behind win on Thursday night on the road.

UTSA trailed Florida International by as many has 13 points Thursday night only to come from behind for a big road win to beat the Panthers 74-63.

The 'Runners played well early, but FIU shook off some rust and was able to build a double-digit lead right before halftime.

"I'm really proud of our basketball team," Head Coach Brooks Thompson said on the post game radio show. "I was a little worried at halftime but our team did what it took to win. It was impressive.

UTSA used a pressing defense that really swung the momentum in the 'Runners' favor as they force FIU into 26 turnovers. UTSA was able to turn those turnovers into 30 points and outscored FIU 30-14 in points off turnovers.

"We came out in our 3/4 press, and honestly, it bothered them. It was big," said Thompson.

All told, UTSA outscored FIU 48-28 in the second half.

Four 'Runners scored in double figures lead by Keon Lewis' 23 points. Jeromie Hill added 15 points and 10 rebounds. Kaj-Bjorn Sherman scored 14 points while Ryan Bowie pitched in 13 points.
