Versatile WR Lands UTSA Offer

This WR was offered at camp this week. He talks about his recruitment and another school that may be soon offering him.

UTSA held their annual DFW satellite camp on Tuesday. That’s where Bowie HS WR Jesse Ebozue landed a UTSA offer.

“It was unbelievable,” said Ebozue. “I was expecting it (the offer) but I wasn’t expecting it on the spot.”

Following a strong camp performance, the versatile wide out was offered on the spot.

“I felt like I did great,” Ebozue said about his performance during camp. “I didn’t drop a single ball. I got a lot of reps. I went about every other play in one on ones.”

Ebozue says he’s heard nice things about UTSA.

“From what I understand, UTSA has one of the best campuses in Texas. Football-wise, the ‘Dome is perfect to play football in. It sounds like a beautiful place. I’m looking forward to visiting,” said Ebouze.

Being able to work with the coaching staff at camp gave him a glimpse of what life as a Roadrunner could be.

“I really like the coaches,” said Ebozue. “I really spent the most time with receivers Coach Jeffery. He was working with me on hand movement out and acceleration out of breaks. I caught on fast.”

Ebozue is 6’3” and 192lbs with 4.4 - 40 speed.

“With my size and height, any fade or go-route, I’m going to get up and catch the ball. I’m taller than most average corners and safeties. I’m dynamic. I can lineup inside or outside. Agility-wise, I’m good for either one,” said Ebozue.

In addition to UTSA, Ebouze holds offers from Bryant and ACU. But several schools are still looking at him, including Texas State, where he is camping later this week.

“If I run a good time, they (Texas State) said they would offer,” said Ebozue.

Ebozue is also scheduled to camp at TCU and SFA this summer.
