Target Recaps Visit

This UTSA target recently committed to a Mid-American Conference school. But he was on campus for a visit this week and is still considering the Roadrunners.

Earlier in the week, Pflugerville Hendrickson DB Jordan Williams committed to Toledo. But on Tuesday, Williams visited UTSA’s campus and really liked what the Roadrunners had to offer.

“It was a great visit,” said Williams. “I had fun. I enjoyed spending time with the coaches and I enjoyed the atmosphere.”

Williams made the trip with teammate and current UTSA commit Carrington Kearney. He was so impressed with the visit that he wants to schedule an additional trip.

“I want to visit the campus one more time and also see a game,” said Williams. “I’ll be down there in the fall to check it out some more.”

Although he still considers himself a Toledo commit, Williams says he’s yet to make his final decision.

“I’m still making a decision,” said Williams. “I want to make my final decision around the end of football season.”

Williams plays various DB positions at Hendrickson. At 5’10” and 175lbs, UTSA is recruiting him as a CB.

“I’m a very aggressive player,” said Williams. “I also work hard and consider myself a team player.”

UTSA Cornerback’s Coach Jeff Popovich host Williams and made an impression on him.

“He’s very energetic,” Williams said of Popovich. “He’s got me hyped up to play for UTSA.”

Williams says the other schools he’s hearing from right now are: SMU, Kansas State, Toledo Liberty and UTSA the most.
