Game Balls for the UTSA game vs Charlotte presented by Pat Clynes and The Fritz Kennel.

UTSA improved to 3-8 on the season with a 34-24 win over Rice on Saturday. A lot of players had good games but a couple of players had standout individual performances. We hand out our InsideRunnerSports game balls brought to you by Pat Clynes and The Fritz Kennel.

Offensive Game Ball: RB Jarveon Williams
Running Back Jarveon Williams had a special night for UTSA. The local product became the first ever 1,000 yard rusher in the third quarter of the game. On the night, Williams would rush 22 times for 163 yards with 2 touchdowns. With the 2 scores, Jarveon’s season total sits at 8, that ties the single-season record for most rushing touchdowns.

For his exceptional performance, Williams earns our offensive game ball.

Defensive Game Ball: DE Marcus Davenport
Defensive End had a career night for the ‘Runners Saturday. In what was likely the best game of his career, the San Antonio-native was a force for the defense all game long. Davenport 2 sacks, 3 tackles for loss, and was tied for a team high 10 tackles. All of those were career highs. The Sophomore also forced a critical fumble that eventually lead to a UTSA touchdown. For good measure, Davenport added 1 pass break up to his laundry list of stats.

For his exceptional performance, Davenport earns our defensive game ball.
