First Half Cold Spell: Following a technical foul on A&M Corpus Christi’s Head Coach, the Islanders closed the half on a 20-4 run. During that stretch, there was a 12-0 run that saw A&MCC take control of the game. They would never trail after that.

Late Push Falls Short: UTSA would cut the Islanders’ lead to six points several times late in the second half but the ‘Runners simply couldn’t get a enough stops and baskets to get any closer.

Bowie Leads ‘Runners: Guard Ryan Bowie continues a good season with a strong performance Saturday. The Lewisville-native led three UTSA players in double figures with 25 points. He also a grabbed 8 rebounds. Gino Littles and Nick Allen added 11 points each.

Wilson Makes Season Debut: Coming off a suspension, Guard Christian Wilson made his season debut when he entered the game early in the first half. He played 10 minutes and was 0 for 3 from the field but did score 4 points from the free throw line.

“We finally decided to have some energy and guard. I think we made a lot of progress today. Obviously, we’re not there, we have to get better. I think our guys played well, we just have to keep going.”
