UTSA Baseball’s Annual Banquet

UTSA Baseball will be holding their annual First Pitch Banquet next Saturday.

Reid Ryan, the President of Business Operations for the Houston Astros, will headline UTSA Baseball’s annual First Pitch Banquet next Saturday, Feb 6.

Each year, UTSA holds the First Pitch Banquet to raise funds for the baseball program. The event includes player introductions, awards, highlights, a presentation from Head Coach Jason Marshall, and a speech from a keynote speaker.

Ryan is the oldest son of baseball legend Nolan Ryan. He was drafted in 1994 by the Texas Rangers from TCU. Ryan’s been President of the Astros since 2013.

The event takes place Saturday, Feb 6. Doors open at 5:30pm with the program beginning at 6:45pm. The location of the banquet is at the HEB University Center Ballroom on UTSA’s Main Campus.

Last season, UTSA posted a 33-25 overall record while going 17-13 in Conference USA play. The Roadrunners open the 2016 season on Feb 19 vs Connecticut.
