UTSA Game Balls for UTSA’s 42-25 Win vs Middle Tennessee

Presented by Pat Clynes and The Fritz Kennel

OFFENSE
UTSA’s much-maligned offensive line played one of their best games of the season Saturday vs Middle Tennessee. The surprising fact about the effort was that UTSA rotated eight linemen in and out throughout the course of the game. As a unit, the o-line helped the Roadrunners amass 270 rushing yards with five rushing touchdowns. They also provide more than ample pocket protection in the passing game. It’s fair to say that UTSA’s offensive line dominated MTSU. The following offensive linemen played: Jevonte Domond, Austin Pratt, Juan Perez-Isidoro, Stefan Beard, Gabriel Casillas, Kyle McKinney, David Anzaldua, and Reed Darragh.  For their exceptional performance, the entire offensive line earns our offensive game ball.

DEFENSE
For the fourth straight week, Junior LB La’Kel Bass led UTSA in tackles. The St. Louis-native recorded six solo tackles and assisted three times for a team-high nine tackles. He also added two sacks totaling -12 yards. In one of the bigger moments of the game, Bass forced a fumble and then recovered. The former Juco transfer from Hutchinson JC in Kansas has really come into his own as this season has progressed. For his exceptional individual performance, La’Kel Bass earns our defensive game ball.
