West Orange-Stark DT Morris Joseph Jr. committed to UTSA back in late September. But as it so often happens in the world of recruiting, things change. Wooing from Colorado and a recent offer from Houston has made Joseph “re-evaluate” his pledge to the Roadrunners. Joseph updates InsideRunnerSports on his recruitment.
How do you feel about National Signing Day coming next week?
“I’m really excited that it’s almost here because it’s something I’ve worked toward. I feel like I’m blessed to be in the predicament that I’m in.”
Is it stressful for you?
“It’s actually not very stressful. There has been a little stress but once I sit down and pray about it and give it God, that’s who I’m really looking at to help me make my decision; my parents, my family and God.”
Where are you with your recruitment and UTSA?
“I 'm still committed to UTSA. It’s always been real there so that plays a big role."
You recently took an official visit to Colorado, how was it?
“It went well. I had a great time out there. It was a great city and they have a great coaching staff. The players were pretty cool.”
You were offered by Houston on Wednesday. Are you planning to visit there?
“I’ll possibly visit them this weekend.”
How do you feel about how UTSA has recruited you?
“Whenever it comes to them, they were direct and they were honest. They just was always just being themselves. I was just being myself with them. We clicked.”
Are UTSA, Houston, and Colorado your top schools right now?
“Yes sir, those are the top schools I’m even considering.”
When will you make your final decision?
“Actually, I’ve basically already made it. And I’m actually in the process of finalizing it.”
When will you announce your final decision?
“When I get back from visiting. I know I’ll be ready to announce it the day before signing day.”
