UTSA Baseball’s Fifth Annual First-Pitch Banquet is just over a week away.
The past four years, Head Coach Jason Marshall and his staff have kicked off their season with this annual fund-raising event. Held at UTSA’s main campus, the primary purpose of the event is to spotlight various players while raising overall support for the baseball program.
The event features a social hour followed by a dinner, a program that includes player introductions, interviews, an awards ceremony, raffle, silent auction, and comments from a guest speaker.
This year’s guest speaker is Jeff Banister, the Manager of the Texas Rangers. Banister will enter his third season as Rangers’ skipper. In 2015 he was named the American League Manager of the Year.
