'Cats After Juco OL

When recruiting offensive lineman at the juco level, there are usually two schools of thought: You want to add size and immediate talent for depth. This latest target adds both.

The Texas State staff continues to go coast to coast in their recruiting blitz. BobcatIllustrated (BI) confirmed that the ‘Cats are now after Joseph Grant, a 6'3" 314lb, interior offensive lineman from Antelope Valley JC (CA).

Grant is receiving more interest as the spring has closed out and summer begins. The Bobcats are his first offer, but programs across the land are recruiting him; USC, Illinois, Utah, Utah State, Kansas, Marshall, Boise State, Fresno State, Colorado State and Iowa State are just some of the schools on him.

This year Grant is slotted to line up at center, but the Bobcats do see him moving over to the guard position. He's got good enough size and strength to help solidify the interior of the o-line.

Playing multiple positions is just another reason why Grant is starting to receive more interest.

Once he picked up his offer from Texas State, Joseph started to do a little research. So far, so good.

"I watched their spring practices and game on youtube. They have great work ethic and it's Texas! A great football state," said Grant."
