Wide receiver ranks Texas State
Kade Clayton stands at 6'1" 185 lbs with a 4.39 40 yard dash. This multi-talented prospect is looking to switch up things on the field throughout his senior year. The returning first team all district running back is a versatile option for the Bobcats as he was one of their first targets. "I'm being recruited as a receiver, but I can play QB, and running back which I'll be doing a little of both this year," Clayton said. Clayton currently has offers from SMU, Texas State and Old Dominion, who will be moving into the ranks of the FBS this coming year. "Coach Franchione offered me back in February but I'm still thinking," Clayton said. "I'd say Texas State is my 3rd option as of now." Clayton described himself as "a fast, aggressive player who's always nonstop on the field." He hopes to have a decision made by September before the heart of his senior football season kicks in. His play as a junior earned him MVP of the District 2 TAPPS League.
