The BI Staff was able to check up with 3 potential new Bobcats who took visits to the campus Saturday when Texas State faced Wyoming.

Dylan Douglass, LB/DE Canyon HS (Canyon, TX)

Douglass came in to watch the Bobcats put up a 42-21 win over Wyoming. He was on an unofficial visit checking out what the Bobcats had to offer. The target has been touring several campuses to find out what opportunities are out there. Douglass wasn't able to stay for the entire game because of the weather but he said the defense played good and that he enjoyed the game.

Douglass says that the Bobcats are still a great option for his future but is waiting until after the season or even until signing day to make his final choice.

Johnny Wilson, OL Midland Christian HS (2015)

Junior OL Johnny Wilson has started visiting colleges early. He stayed until about 10:30 p.m. Saturday and decided to retire for the night for his meeting with Coach Johnson the following morning. The 6'4" 275 lb. aggressor was introduced to the offensive lineman coach Gordy Shaw and was shown around campus.

Currently he and his teammates are enjoying a 5-0 start, outscoring their opponents 256-17. Wilson says he usually goes through defensive ends rather quickly. Wilson has received attention from TXST, TCU, Baylor, Missouri State, Nebraska, and Arkansas. He is excited to see what offers start rolling in during the coming year.

Colton Austin S Thorndale HS (2015) Thorndale, TX

Junior CB Colton Austin has been going on a college game spree, first stopping at TCU Sept. 7th. He visited the Bobcats on the 28th and has dates set for Incarnate Word on Oct. 26th and Texas on Nov. 2nd. Austin has been in contact with Coach Vaughn a couple times a month and is being looked at for WR. Austin was able to meet with the coaches on Saturday before the game and said he was blown away by how the Bobcats manhandled Wyoming.

"I watched the Wyoming vs. Air Force game on ESPN two weeks ago and they were a tough team to control, the Bobcats tamed them on Saturday," Austin said. He is quick on his feet and can run clean and fast routes and says he pushes himself and his team to victories.
