Football Recruiting Quick Hits

BI caught up with 2 prospects that attended the TXST game last weekend and a target who's trying to join a team alongside his brother.

Jesus Barrio - OT
He's a dominator when it comes to his opponents and bringing them down. This right tackle from McKinney Boyd HS (McKinney, TX) was invited by Coach Hudson to watch the Bobcats play against ULM. Barrio a 6'4'' 265 lb OL prospect hopes to receive that much anticipated call this week, his offer. "I feel good about it, hopefully they give me a call with an offer," said Barrio. He's been in contact the most with TXST but has also gotten attention from UTSA, Purdue, Indiana, UL-Monroe, UTEP, and Kansas. One of his biggest priorities besides choosing a school that will improve his future is staying close to home.

David Tachie - OL
This blocker is quick on his feet and ready for an offer. Tachie from McKinney HS rode together with Barrio to watch their first Bobcat game. Coach Hudson visited them last week and invited them out to the ULM game. "They played pretty good, we should've come out on to top, but that's how games go," said Tachie about the Bobcat game. The 6'3'' 296 lb. RG has no offer yet but feels confident that it will come soon enough. "Coaches are still evaluating me but I think the offer is coming soon," said Tachie. His main focus right now isn't recruitment but getting his team to playoffs, he has gotten attention from OU, OKST, Texas Tech, Sam Houston and the Lobos. Tachie says the Bobcats are one of his favorites and is definitely going to wait for offers to come in.

Kolin Hill – DE
With a 6-0 season, Kolin Hill (6'2" 220lbs) is focused on keeping a winning streak for the Clemens HS Buffaloes (Schertz, TX). Hill was unable to attend the ULM game after all but has been in contact with Coach Washington via Twitter during the recruiting process. Hill had previously mentioned he would like to go somewhere with his twin brother, Kaleb, "If we can't stay together then I'd have to start looking into my options, I'm waiting for more offers," said Hill. He holds offers from UTEP, Holy Corss, UTSA and UIW. Tulsa and New Mexico have also been in contact.
