Commit #17 Is In
Mid afternoon, BI learned that Coach Fran and his staff continued their impressive roll on the recruiting trail after nabbing yet another commitment. Frankie Griffin of Klein Collins HS, became the 'Cats 17th pledge of the 2014 class. The 6'0" 188lb safety prospect had been a TXST lean since back in early/mid August when he visited campus. He told BI in an exclusive update that he was seriously considering committing then. A little time went on and Griffin did hold back just a bit, deciding to weigh all of his options, but in the end he just felt that Texas State was where home would be. Griffin chose The 'Cats over offers from Colorado State, Fresno State, Iowa State and Utah. He's currently rated as a 2 Star prospect by our Scout.com recruiting analysts. We've got an exclusive update set up with Griffin shortly. Be sure to check the forum for his quotes.
