Commit #18 Is In!

This Houston area DB has been high on the 'Cats going to back early June when Texas State was his first offer. Now, he's decided to pledge to wear the maroon and gold, and we have the breaking commit news.

Earlier this week, Camyron Brown (6'0" 193lbs) of Ridge Point HS told our staff that a commitment could come at any moment. He's been high on the Bobcats since a September update and the 'Cats always stood out from the beginning being the first program to offer.

Well, it all came to fruition early Friday morning as BI broke the commitment news and that Brown did in fact call and pledge to the Bobcat Staff.

"Really, it just felt like home. I felt like it's the place where I could be happy for another 4 years and play great football," said Brown.

The 2-Star safety becomes the 18th pledge of the 2014 class for Head Coach Dennis Franchione and the 'Cats have recruited him as a safety. Some prospects may switch once they step foot on campus, but with Brown's commitment, Texas State now has 5 DB's committed.

Brown chose Texas State over offers from Nevada and New Mexico. Boise State had picked up their interest recently as well.
