Earlier in the week our staff had caught up with Silsbee Dual Threat QB Patrick Reed (6'2" 180lbs) and he confirmed he would be heading to Texas State for Saturday's game. He didn't point at all to making a decision, on the contrary, all of his options were open and he was planning to make a decision after the season. Well, what a difference a great environment and last second win can make for a recruit on a visit. Reed did a 180 and decided to let the Bobcat staff know that he had found the right place for him and committed to Head Coach Dennis Franchione and his staff. He chose the 'Cats over offers from New Mexico, Louisiana Lafayette and Lamar. Reed's commitment now brings the Texas State class to 19 commits and their QB for the class.
