New WR Offer
Over the last few weeks, Atascosita WR Greg Campbell has picked up a few new offers and Texas State is the latest program to extend. "Coach Conway called me and told me they had a scholarship. There was a spot open if I wanted it. It was a little bit of a surprise because Friday he called me and was saying that they wanted to offer, but didn't have a spot. Then he said that a spot opened up because of scholarship that they weren't giving out after all," said Campbell. His offers are now from TXST, ULM, Colorado State and UTSA. Campbell is glad to have the offer from Texas State and considers it another option he will weigh. Look for him to take a visit of San Marcos as he tries to start narrowing things down with NSD just over 2 months away. Atascosita's season came to an end this past week against 4A power Lake Travis. Campbell primarily played QB for the Eagles and was a key reason for their 10-2 record. At the next level he looks like to transition to the WR spot where he can use 6'0" 170lb frame and 4.41 40 speed.
