DE Is A Target

Recently we've identified multiple prospects that are being evaluated at the D-tackle spot for the 'Cats. This time we've confirmed another offer has gone out on the D-line, but it's at D-End.

The Denton Ryan Raiders are still playing and actually face Cedar Hill on Monday as their Saturday match-up was post-poned because of the inclement weather in the DFW area.

One of the key cogs for the Raiders on defense has been 6'3" 235lb DE Sekou Clark. His play has earned him a few offers and the Bobcats jumped into the mix a while back.

"They (Texas State) came to the school a few weeks ago and offered," said Clark.

Sekou has not heard from the Bobcat staff since the offer but a source confirmed to BI that the coaching staff is still in pursuit of the 3-Star target.

Louisiana Monroe and Washington State have also offered. Oklahoma and Nebraska are keeping tabs on Clark and have remained in contact.

With his main focus being on his senior season, once it's all said and done Clark will engage more in the recruiting scene and more into Texas State. He'd like to possibly set up a visit and see what the Bobcats have to offer.

Clark is currently ranked as the 60th best defensive end in the nation by recruiting analysts.
