On Saturday afternoon Scout.com broke the news of former Texas State Offensive Line Coach Gordy Shaw leaving to take the same position at The University of Houston. Three days later Brad Bedell, formerly the O-line Coach at Arkansas State, has accepted the job and is now a part of the Bobcat staff. Bedell took to twitter to let BobcatNation he's excited to be on board and ready to hit the ground running: "I am very excited to be apart of the #TXST football staff. Can't wait till Thursday and hit the ground running!! Go Bobcats!" As a player and coach, Bedell has had success. After starring at Mt. San Antonio Junior College (95-96) where he garnered NCJAA 1st Team All American Honors, he moved on to play for Colorado. Where he also earned All BIG XII and All American honors. His professional career includes a six year span in the NFL before retiring and deciding to put on a headset in joining the coaching ranks. In his coaching ventures, he has already tutored numerous All Conference Selections. Here is a quick glimpse at his coaching stops. (Coaching Bio) 2007-2009: Colorado Offensive Intern
