Potential Star Makes the Rounds

This Quarterback is looking to shop his talent to many programs to find the best fit. A dual threat type of player who has amazing passing skills, and speed is in his back pocket.

Manny Harris is currently a Junior at Copperas Cove HS and has just completed visits to Baylor and Texas State this last week. He currently is seeing interest from schools such as Baylor, Duke, New Mexico State, and UT among others. His only two concrete offers are from Texas State and UTSA.

Harris is listed at 6'2 210 lbs and is a standout in the state of Texas. As a Junior, Harris led the state is passing yards through the first ten games, with over 3,400 yards and reaching the end zone 42 times both through the air and with his legs. Manny was named first team All District, Area MVP, and received honorable mention for the All State Team. Harris is also from the same school as Robert Griffin III and broke most of his records in his Junior year, and we all know what kind of collegiate player he turned out to be.

"I really liked my visit to Texas State, this past Saturday, i got to meet all the coaches and i liked watching the style of offense they where running during the scrimmage," Harris said about his visit. "Overall I'm looking for an offense that fits my style of play, has talented pieces to compliment me, and just somewhere where I could see myself living for the next four to five years."

Harris is more than just a great passer, he also has great escapability, using his 4.7 speed to expose defenses that start to play back in their coverage's. Harris seems very aware of his potential and does not want to name any favorites just yet and says he has no time table for his decision for 2015.

Harris is definitely a player that is bound to draw competition among recruiters. The hunt is on early and Texas State is definitely ahead of the pack in the recruiting process, although more offers are sure to come for this talented quarterback.
