Basketball Eligibility Pipeline (2014-2015)

Head Coach Danny Kaspar and his staff have already welcomed a total of six new additions for next season. We take a look at the eligibility pipeline and how the 'Cats will possibly look next season.

Come the fall, Texas State faithful will have to adjust as #25, Joel Wright has finished up his eligibility and will no longer be wearing the maroon and gold. Graduating seniors Reid Koenen, Corey Stern, Gordon Ball, and Phil Hawkins will all be moving on after exhausting their eligibility.

As is with any D1 program, you also have to factor in attrition. BobcatIllustrated has confirmed that at least 2 other underclassmen scholarship players will not be returning and are transferring: Naiel Smith (G) and Jeremiah Moore (G). Currently, that equals 7 available scholarships with 6 signed for 2014, leaving one more spot to fill.

That spot could belong to Bradon Nazione, a SF/PF juco target from Des Moines Area Junior College. He visited Texas State two weekends ago and this past weekend was at Missouri State on an official visit. The Coaching Staff is expecting a decision from Nazione as early as Monday.

Whether Nazione decides to pick the Bobcats or not, there could potentially be one more addition to the 2014 class. It's a situation we're monitoring closely and will provide more details as the situation develops. In all, there could be anywhere from 7-8 new faces suiting up for the Bobcats this fall.
