LB Drawing Interest

This is a linebacker you can center your defense around. He is the Minister of Defense for his team and makes sure everyone is in the right position, and is a TXST target.

Bo Anderson is a 6'1 220 pound ILB out of Coppell High School and is currently rated a 3 Star prospect by recruiting analysts. He also runs a 4.65 40 which keeps him in the action on almost every down and possess good strength to take down ball carriers in the box.

"I'm pretty fast and a good tackler, but above everything i think its my smarts that makes me a good player. I make sure everyone on the defense is in the right place and lined up correctly and I'm good at diagnosing the play," said Anderson.

He finished his Junior season with 119 tackles, forcing two fumbles while recovering three on his way to being named to 1st team All District and All State. His performance last season has Bo currently looking at offers from three schools already, Texas State, Nevada, and Wyoming. He's also seeing serious interest from many different programs. Schools such as Stanford, Navy, Baylor, Texas Tech, Cal, Duke and Missouri are all showing interest and Anderson says he plans on making trips to the east and west coast both this summer.

Out of all of the schools Anderson says Stanford sticks out to him the most, because of the academics, which are important to him. However out of all of his visits so far, Bo mentions Texas State as his favorite, saying he really likes the location, which is the biggest factor for him.

"I really like the campus, and love the whole atmosphere, with a river running right through it. The people seem really awesome there. Texas State is a school that is growing really fast and has the kind of location that I prefer. I have to go somewhere where its warm," said Anderson.

Bo also commented that although Texas State is not as prestigious as some of the other schools he has visited he might enjoy the possibility of being able to play right away and have a major role in a program. Anderson also commented that he does not plan to rush into a decision, and will likely push it all the way down to signing day to give him a chance to look at all the offers on the table.
