Raking In Offers
Ladarryl Blair out of Dallas Kimball HS, is a player that lights up the highlight film with his speed and quickness in the open field. Blair plays Quarterback and Safety, however programs are looking at him primarily as a safety at the next level. "My coach says that you could put me in a phone booth with ten other people and I would squirm my way right out. I'm very shifty and elusive, but overall I consider myself a very smart player. Although i am good with the ball in my hands I am a much better on the defensive side, playing quarterback has given me a good understanding of routes and diagnosing plays in development," said Blair on what makes him special. Ladarryl finished last season with just over 1,500 yards passing, 700 yards rushing, 22 total TD's, 22 tackles, and 7 pass deflections, while being named First Team All-District and First Team All-Area. His stats would most likely be more impressive on either side of the ball, had he been able to focus on one and also catch his breath and rest from time to time. Blair currently holds offers from Arizona State, Boston College, Colorado State, Arkansas State, and now in just the last two days, Texas State and Tulsa. He is still seeing interest from Arkansas, Tennessee, Texas A&M, and Indiana, however Blair plans to make his announcement sometime this summer, or on TV the day before National Signing day. Blair's only visits have been to Texas State, Texas A&M, and just recently in April he took a trip to Arizona State. He plans to make several trips this summer. "I want to go to a school with good academics and particularly, one with a strong business school. One with a good atmosphere, and I don't mind moving far away, just as long as it feels like the right place for me," said Blair on what he is looking for in a program. While Blair gave no indications, as to who his favorites where thus far, at least he wont make us wait too long before making his decision. We will all be keeping a close eye on this target for when the day comes to unveil the choice that many people are anxiously waiting to hear.
