This RB out of Coppell High School is receiving interest from all over the country. USC, Oregon, and Michigan are all set to stop by next week. It seems to be only fitting he resembles star backs like Reggie Bush and De'Anthony Thomas.
is a 5'10" 190lb blur coming out of the back field, with 4.38 speed, and still possessing good strength to run right on through arm tackles. West is a player to be coveted, for his home run hitting potential and his ability to make a play with the ball. Whether it be handed to him or thrown to him at almost any level of the field.
"I'm a speedy back, who still has a good amount of power and likes to get to the end zone in a hurry. One plus is that i have really good hands for a running back and even line up at receiver sometimes. I try to model my game after De'Anthony Thomas," said West about his own style of play.
In his Junior Season West recorded over 1,500 all purpose yards and 15 total TD's, on his way to being named 1st Team All-District and 1st Team All Region, in one of the deepest areas of the state. Charles has already earned himself offers from UTSA, Texas State, Purdue, Arkansas St, San Diego St, Toledo, and Texas Tech. He received offers from Colorado St and Tulsa both on Thursday, with more on their way to Coppell to see this potential star for themselves.
"I'm looking for a school with a great coaching staff to help me develop into the player i want to be, one where i can get a good education, and that has a run oriented offense where i feel i will be utilized," said West on the qualities he is looking for.
Schools will have this summer and this summer only to make up their mind on West if they want a chance at receiving his commitment. Charles says that he would like to have his decision made before the beginning of next season. BI is staying in contact with him and will have any update as Texas State tries to land this game changer.
