Huge Target For Bobcats

Size is one thing you can't teach and this OT has plenty of it. Texas State is in line to host him this summer and the Bobcats want to impress this potential anchoring O-lineman

Football is a game that is won in the trenches, and the Bobcats are looking to Clyde McCauley to be a future bulldozer on the Offensive side of the ball. At 6'5 275lbs, McCauley is a hard player to get around and it's almost harder to avoid him when he pulls and hits linebackers at the second level.

"I consider myself to have really good footwork, good awareness, I am more physical, and have more power and strength than most players at my position. My good technique and footwork also make me a really good pass blocker,' said McCauley about his own abilities.

Currently Clyde is entertaining offers from Navy, Nevada, Rutgers, San Diego State, Central Arkansas, Fresno State, ULM, and Texas State. This summer McCauley has three visits lined up to Fresno State, Rutgers and Texas State, where they will all have their chance to impress as he plans to make his decision before the first game of his senior season.

"I would like to go to a school with a high graduation rate and a high level of competition. Texas State has a great Offensive Line coach in Brad Bedell and he has been keeping in good contact with me," said McCauley on what he is looking for in a program.

The heat is on this summer as schools will look to prove their worth to this huge target. The Bobcats are in the top three thus far and are sitting in a good position with McCauley.
