Looking For a RB

The Bobcats are expected to sign at least one running back this cycle and have now targeted a talent from a perennial state power and champion.

Those within the Lone Star State know of Denton Guyer. The Wildcats are a defending 4A D1 State Champion and produce division one talent by the boat load. Their 2015 class will be no different.

The Texas State Staff is looking to start a pipeline into Guyer High School and recently offered their star running back Anthony Taylor.

Taylor is a 5'10" 185lb back that has elite level speed. Earlier this spring he ran a blistering 4.32 while attending an OU camp. Combine that with great agility, elusiveness and being multidimensional, the Bobcat Staff have their sights locked in on the game changing back. Linebackers Coach Dennis Franchione is the lead recruiter for Taylor.

Coach Franchione called me with the offer. He really likes me and they want to give me a full ride. I was really excited and I'm very happy. I knew they were kind of interested in me," said Taylor.

Texas State is his first offer and more are sure to come. Colorado State, Arkansas State, and Louisiana Monroe are all showing interest

With the Bobcats being his first offer, Taylor wants to do what he can to get to know the Bobcat program. He'll be attending one of their satellite camps on June 11th. He's also planning on taking a visit to San Marcos later this summer.

You can bet that Taylor that will pick up more offers during the summer months. Offering first is always a good thing and a plus for Texas State. Secondly, getting the target to a camp or a visit is next. Texas State has both of those lined up and is in good position early on in Taylor's recruitment.
